This is the cottage you've been looking for. An escape from ordinary life, tucked away in the Lake Michigan sand dunes near the Oxbow School of Art campus. You will feel as though you've been transported into another time and place. This secluded, quiet, wooded setting is truly magical!
Take joy in the slower pace and be off the beaten path. Relax on the wrap-around covered porch with your morning cup of coffee while listening to the songs of the local birds. If Lake Michigan is calling your name, you have the option of walking, biking, or driving to the Oval Beach which is only 1.2 miles by road. Mt. Baldhead is 0.5 of a mile away for great hiking and beautiful views, and then perhaps a backside hike down to Oval Beach! The Chain Ferry is nearby as well, 0.7 from the cottage, and will take you across the river into the heart of Saugatuck for great shopping and dining. In the evenings, you'll want to gather around the fire pit to make s'mores and laugh about times gone by or sit at the table chatting, playing cards, assembling puzzles, or playing board games.

We had a lovely time at the Art Coast Cottage. It felt like camping in the woods with easy access to a hiking trail and nearby Oval beach. We were pleasantly surprised by how many different glasses they had for a variety of beverages and the amount of dishes (including childrens dishes).

Mill Pond Realty had the best customer service I think Ive ever had in my life! They called to check in with us. They brought extra lawn chairs from their office for us. They worked directly with the homeowner to help accommodate us. They were beyond fantastic. Id give them 10 stars if I could! Definitely recommend. 10/10

Beautiful area, nice and quiet and secluded. We enjoyed the many deer that walked the property daily day and night. Would use Mill Pond Realty again for future vacations. The whole team was nice, friendly and welcoming.

Quiet, well appointed cottage on Oxbow property. Great hiking nearby. Easy access to downtown Saugutuck, but away from the bustle. We really enjoyed the place! We were here for traditional post Thanksgiving weekend Christmas tree cutting. Loved the place.

This was our second stay at this lovely cabin, and we will definitely return in the future. It is so cozy and convenient to hiking trails. Its also a quick and easy drive to the downtown. We love the woods and this cabin was perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at the Art Cottage! We had a family of eight people including two toddlers, and there was something for everyone. The location in the woods close to the art school and dune trails was lovely - and it was great that we were just a short drive to Saugatuck. You could even walk to the chain ferry if you wanted to make the trek. Absolutely loved the ring game on the porch. We built a fire and made smores on two nights of the stay. Lots of spiders outside, but thats to be expected in the woods. Highly recommended for families!

This lovely cottage feels like it is in the middle of the woods- totally quiet and away from the crowds, saw deer wandering around every day. The quiet of camping but the comforts and conveniences of a home.

We enjoyed our stay! The house was nicely situated in a wooded area on the Oxbow Art School campus. We loved hiking the Crows Nest trail just steps from the house. If youre looking for a sunny summer getaway, this house is not for you. It was quite dark all day and there were tons of bugs since we were in the woods. Would be lovely in the winter!

Beautiful location! If you want a peaceful getaway, this is the perfect home. Close enough to really enjoy a Saugatuck an Douglas, but we were also able to disconnect and enjoy some nature. Very unique!

Amazing house for a girls weekend celebrating my best friends 40th birthday! We had everything we needed and the house comfortably accommodated the six of us as we enjoyed Saugatuck! Especially loved the outdoor fire pit!

Perfect spot for our college friend reunion weekend! We had a blast drinking wine by the fire, shopping all day in town and eating at some of the fun local haunts. The kitchen was stocked amazingly well! The fire pit was a huge plus for us. We will be back for sure!
