This adorable abode is ready for your Saugatuck Douglas getaway!

Conveniently located an easy walk from several attractions and a short drive from all the others, you’ll have endless adventures waiting just out your door. Start your day with your best foot forward by taking a walk or bike ride to Lakeshore Drive. Then head across the street to the Root Beer Barrel for an afternoon hot dog and the perfect photo opp. For a great meal, you are a nice walk from Farmhouse Deli, Isabel’s Market, and everything downtown Douglas has to offer. In the evening, walk over to the Dunes Resort for a drink or to catch the latest drag show.

If Lake Michigan is calling your name, it’s only ¾ a mile to Douglas Beach. There is free parking at this beach, but the route is so beautiful, it’s worth the walk. Douglas Beach had new stairs installed in 2021. You also have the option of the Oval Beach (2 miles) or the Saugatuck Dunes State Park (6 miles).

You will want to spend all your time on the patio overlooking the spacious backyard. Barbeque a meal, relax in the sunshine, and let Fido play on the lawn. Once evening falls, gather around the fire pit for a round of s'mores and some quality time with your loved ones.

Inside the cottage, you'll find great space to spend time with each other. The open kitchen and dining area features a snack bar and has everything you would need to make a meal at home. All 6 of you can gather around the dining table and enjoy a homemade meal.

The cozy living space has a convertible sofa sleeper perfect for extra sleeping space. The Roku enables you to stream your favorite shows on the flat-screen TV.

Two comfortable bedrooms provide sleeping space for four. The full bathroom was remodeled in spring 2023 and features plenty of storage and a shower-tub combo.

This is a wonderfully relaxing place to call home for your stay in Saugatuck Douglas!

Please Note:

• This is a great budget-friendly option with a convenient location. There are a few quirks in this old home, but we hope you find them fun and the house comfortable like we do.
• There is no central air conditioning and unfortunately no way to add it. There is a window AC unit in each bedroom and another in the living room. On warm days, keep the window coverings closed and AC units on medium to comfortably cool the home.
• The fenced-in backyard is a great amenity for all to enjoy. If you bring along your pets, please make sure to pick up after them so the next guests can also enjoy the yard.
